Chassis Raffle and Welcome Party Conclude Sunday at RMC Grand Finals with On-Track Action Set for Tomorrow

The most iconic shot in all of karting happened during the opening hours of day one at the 2023 RMC Grand Finals in Bahrain earlier today as more than 380 brand-new karts were lined up nose to tail on the front straight before the chassis raffle. With media allowed in one hour before all competitors, 9:30 saw a flood of colors and nations as racers and team members grabbed their best photo of the spectacle that was about to be.

With the chassis raffle kicking off just before 11am local time, competitors and mechanics picked up their equipment and headed to the paddock to prep for the week's racing action. Kart build, tire mounting, and more ran throughout the day along with drivers briefing for all competitors leading up to the on-track action that begins on Monday.

Nine Team USA drivers who qualified through the Race Rotax promoted RMC US Trophy Final and six international competitors who punched their ticket courtesy of the RTX Karting RMC Winter Trophy Series were able to get their equipment prepped and ready for action.

“It is great to be here in Bahrain and support not only Team USA, but the entire Rotax family of drivers,” explained RTX Karting’s Julieta Fernandez. “There were still no karts on track today, but the anticipation is building, and it is set to be a great week of racing.”

J3 Competition’s John Giacomelli added, “It is great to have nine Team USA drivers from our US Trophy Final event here in Bahrain. We know that they will represent our country to the highest level possible, and we hope to be able to give them the tools and support they need to fight at the front of their respective fields.”

The day concluded with a ‘Welcome Get Together’ in the Formula One paddock at the Bahrain International Circuit.
